Finally, more pics.

I mentioned my World of Warcraft addiction, right? Well, though it has not really stopped me from taking lots of pictures, is has stopped me from getting off my butt to post more pictures on the website. Finally, posted some new pictures.

In other news... naturally fatherhood is a learning process. Brendan and I both learn new stuff all the time. Here are some tidbits I have learned recently:

That is pretty much everything I have learned so far :)

Second place is the first loser

Jan 11, 2005

Our roller hockey team had our championship game tonight. Now, the thing you have to understand about our hockey team is that we always come in second place. Always. We have lost the championship game like 6 seasons in a row.

I can't say I had high hopes for the game tonight. I gave us a 1 in 3 shot at pulling out an upset, some thought our odds were slightly better, I thought I was being generous with 1 in 3.

So the game goes like this:

Some great highs, some horrible, horrible lows. I am very, very tired of coming in second place, and the loss was just devastating tonight. But -- I gotta say -- their team has a ton more skill than ours (passing, shooting, skating, face offs, you name it). Yet, we still gave it a nice run... mostly thanks to a lot of hussle, a good dose of Rob, and our boy Tony in goal. Though he let 5 goals in tonight, that just doesn't do it justice -- he must have saved 40 others.

A little proud I guess, yet ... mostly sad.

You can get used to most anything

So, I was thinking on the way home from my hockey game tonight (yes, we won... 7-1 in the semi-finals! Finals next week)... that I have not written anything in the blog in way too long. Mostly, because there has been that much "funny" stuff happening, and everyone knows... funny blog entries are the best!

I promised I wouldn't write more pee stories, but, I fear that I must to illustrate a point. See, we were at the doctor today, where we learned that brendan is huge (13 lbs, 12 oz... a full 1.5 lbs heavier than just 3 weeks ago). While taking this weight... he lets go a stream of pee, cuz hey, he is nekked, why not?

Leanne does not even flinch. Just puts her hand in the stream to keep it...well, on him. And sorta waits for someone to hand her a paper towel. This was all a total non-issue. Normal, everyday stuff. Even I didn't find it that funny... just sorta handed her the paper towel, and went about my business.

How does this become uninteresting, normal stuff? 2 months ago, I would have found this pretty darn funny, and certainly worthy of a blog entry. Now, it's only worthy of an entry cuz it wasn't interesting and thus... not deserving of an entry. If that makes any sense :)

Subject change: I mentioned the new camera in a previous entry. Gotta say, I really love it. I am not qualified to use the new lenses, but I can certainly see the potential. For example, I took this shot of a water drop that at least proves the camera can do amazing things, even if I can't.
